This year, the Women’s Caucus celebrated the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote by working even harder to deliver additional programs for our members and empowering more women to pursue leadership roles across all government levels and corporate boards.
We’re proud to have provided numerous resources and leadership development sessions for our members to connect amid the coronavirus pandemic, ranging from how to get on state boards, branding, effective campaigning and more. To learn more about all of our activities, check out our year-end recap video! "Women are truly resilient. We charged through all of the challenges this year and have grown as an organization. We expanded our activities, and found new ways to reconnect and support one another. We could not have done it without the support of our sponsors, partners, and friends. Thank you for your support of our work especially during these times. We look forward to continuing our important work to advance women leaders in 2021!” - Annie V. Lam, Executive Director |

The League of California Cities Women’s Caucus releases a statement to commemorate Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the liberation of African Americans as slaves in the United States.
“Although Juneteenth marked a turning point in history, we recognize that more work still needs to be done to ensure all Americans can enjoy rights and freedom equally,” said Nancy Smith, President of LOCC Women’s Caucus, and Vice Mayor of Sunnyvale. “We stand in solidarity with communities of color who are calling for racial justice and greater equality for Black lives. We are deeply heartbroken and outraged by the senseless murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, and countless others. We are all in this together and we will work to ensure that all Californians and all Americans are treated with dignity, respect, and equality.” |
